Features
The grains of mottakaruppan rice are dark. It retains a pink hue and taste during cooking. Like all brown rice, mottakaruppan rice has a long cooking time and needs extra water.
Mottakarupan rice contains magnesium, iron, calcium, phosphorus, selenium, manganese, vitamin K, B1, B2, B3 and B6, dietary fiber and proteins.
Manganese helps to keep bones healthy and strong. In addition, the rice contains selenium and magnesium, magnesium ensures good blood circulation. This rice is also very rich in fiber which ensures good digestion.

Storage advice
Store in a cool, dry place. After opening, transfer contents to an airtight container.
Preparation
For best results, it is advisable to soak the rice in water for half an hour to two hours before use, but this is not necessary. Rinse the rice before preparation and then cook it in the ratio of 1 cup of rice to 2-2½ cups of water. Cooking will take a little longer than regular white rice, about 30 to 40 minutes.
