De Nieuwe Band Organic Red Lentils

These dried red lentils come from suppliers in Turkey with whom the cooperative builds as many direct, sustainable relationships as possible. Legumes are delicious seeds that are great in many dishes.

Preparation

Boil the lentils for 15-20 minutes in a large amount of water. Add salt only at the end of the cooking time. As the lentils get older, the soaking and cooking time is slightly longer.

This product is packaged and/or stored in a facility that also processes products containing nuts, peanuts, mustard, celery, sesame, shellfish, soy, sulphites, fish and molluscs. Despite all precautions, it is possible that this product contains traces of these allergens.

Storage advice

Store in a cool, dark and dry place. After opening, transfer contents to an airtight container.

Use

Red lentils fall apart easily and are therefore very suitable for a hearty soup.

Packaging

The packaging is made of polypropylene and sometimes a small layer of polyethylene. Both are fully recyclable.
